Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
A full Caesarstone bathroom remodel in Los Angeles typically runs $10,620 to $33,040 installed, depending on vanity top square footage, edge profile, and whether you’re pulling the old vanity or keeping the cabinetry. Most Caesarstone tops we install in Los Angeles are fabricated and set within two to three weeks, with the actual installation taking a single day. You usually know it’s time when the existing surface is chipped at the front lip, the seams have opened at the backsplash, or water has swelled the substrate underneath. That’s the point where patching stops making sense and a clean replacement becomes the cheaper long-term move.
We’re an independent Los Angeles remodeling contractor, not a Caesarstone factory store. That means we can spec any Caesarstone color you want, fabricate it through our local shop, and install it without pushing a single brand agenda. We also work with Cambria and Silestone when a homeowner wants to compare. But if you’ve landed here, you’re already set on Caesarstone, and your question is what the remodel should cost and whether the job will hold up. We’ll answer both straight.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To

Caesarstone makes three product groups that matter for a Los Angeles bathroom: the Classic line (most 2 cm and 3 cm colors like Frosty Carrina, London Grey, Empira White), the Metropolitan line (honed finishes only), and the Outdoor line (rarely needed indoors, but we’ve used it on some LA rooftop decks). For bathroom vanities, 2 cm is the most common thickness we install, but 3 cm works too if you want a thicker front edge without a laminated build-up. Your fabricator should always confirm thickness before quoting, because 3 cm costs more per square foot and changes the sink cutout options.
The part that fails is rarely the Caesarstone itself. Stone slab is stone slab. What fails is the seam adhesive, the substrate (plywood or MDF under the slab), the sink mounting, or the caulk line around the backsplash. That’s where the remodel work lives. If you’re trying to match an existing Caesarstone color on one damaged section, don’t expect perfection. Caesarstone shifts dye lots slightly between production runs, and a slab poured six years ago will not match a slab poured this quarter. If you only need a small repair patch, we’ll tell you honestly whether it’ll be invisible or whether a full vanity top replacement is the only way to get a clean look.

Signs Your Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Opened seam at the backsplash joint: Quartz expands slightly with temperature swings, and Los Angeles bathrooms with west-facing walls see daily heat gain. Over years, the silicone and color-match adhesive at that wall joint gives way. Water gets behind the top and rots the substrate from the back edge forward.
- Dark gray staining at the sink rim edge: This is water wicking into a failing undermount sink seal. The sink clip adhesive was probably spot-applied from the factory and never fully sealed. Once moisture gets under the slab at the sink cutout, the plywood substrate swells and the slab can crack at the thinnest point.
- Chalky film on dark Caesarstone colors that won’t wipe clean: That’s hard water etching, common in Los Angeles where the municipal supply carries higher mineral content than most of the country. It’s usually reversible with a quartz-specific polish, but if the etching sits inside a scratch or a chip, the damage is permanent.
- A chip on the front overhang that keeps catching towels: Caesarstone chips at the front lip, not in the field. It’s the most stressed edge on a vanity. Once chipped, the sharp edge gets worse every time cotton loops snag it. Small chips can be filled; front-lip chips bigger than a dime usually mean replacing the top.
- Vanity drawers sticking under a top that’s slightly bowed: If the substrate was installed without enough fasteners or with the wrong type, the slab settles unevenly. You’ll see a fine crack running from a sink corner toward the front edge, and the drawer below will start rubbing. This is a framing-and-substrate failure, not a slab failure.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

Here’s how the Los Angeles numbers break down for a Caesarstone bathroom remodel, installed, with demolition and haul-away of the old top included:
- Small bathroom vanity top only (25 – 35 sq ft, 2 cm, standard edge): $1,180 – $2,950
- Full small bathroom remodel with Caesarstone top, new vanity cabinet, faucet, and sink: $5,900 – $14,160
- Primary bathroom remodel with double-sink Caesarstone top, new cabinetry, walk-in shower, and flooring: $10,620 – $33,040
- Caesarstone shower surround panels (full height, 2 walls): $2,950 – $6,590
The spread comes down to slab color (some Classics cost 20% more than the base colors), edge profile (eased edge is standard; mitered or waterfall edges add labor), sink configuration (single basin versus double), and whether the plumbing rough-in needs to move. Every quote we write in Los Angeles is a fixed number, broken into materials, labor, and disposal, before any demo starts. That’s The Garrison Standard, and it’s been the rule at Bradford Remodeling since we opened. No change order appears at the door. Ever.
DIY or Call Us?
You can check a few things yourself before you call. Run your finger along the seam at the backsplash and look at the caulk line. If the caulk is cracked but the stone has no movement, you may just need a recaulk. If the slab shifts when you lean on the front edge, the substrate is failing and no amount of sealant fixes it. Check under the sink with a flashlight and look for water staining on the cabinet floor. That tells you whether the sink seal has already failed.
What you shouldn’t do is try to remove a Caesarstone top yourself. The weight of a standard 2 cm double-vanity top with two undermount sinks runs 180 to 250 pounds, and when the adhesive finally lets go, it goes all at once. We’ve repaired jobs where a homeowner got the old top halfway off and cracked the new cabinet face or tore a chunk out of the drywall. If you’re at the point of swapping the top, call a crew that carries the fabricator’s contact, the right handling cups, and a written warranty on the install. That’s us. Call (903) 568-7222 and we’ll put an exact number in front of you.
FAQs

A correctly installed Caesarstone top on a dry, properly fastened substrate should last 20 to 30 years in a Los Angeles bathroom. The stone itself doesn’t fail from age. What shortens its life here is groundwater: if the sink seal opens or the backsplash caulk line tears, the substrate absorbs moisture, swells, and cracks the slab from below. We’ve seen seven-year-old tops fail from a bad sink install and 25-year-old tops that are still solid because the original install was tight and sealed correctly.
A crack near the sink cutout can sometimes be filled with a color-matched adhesive if the crack is hairline and the slab hasn’t moved. If the crack runs to the front edge or the stone flexes when you press on it, the substrate has failed and the repair won’t hold. We’ll tell you which one you have when we look at it. Call (903) 568-7222 to schedule an inspection, and we’ll give you a straight answer before any work is priced.
Once the slab is chosen and measured, fabrication takes 5 to 10 business days. Demolition and installation in your Los Angeles bathroom takes one day for a vanity top, and two to three days for a full remodel with cabinetry and shower work. We schedule the plumber, fabricator, and install crew in sequence so you’re not sitting without a bathroom for a week while someone “gets to it.”
We don’t warehouse full slabs. We work directly with Caesarstone’s Los Angeles distribution yard and local fabricators to order the exact color and thickness for your job. That means you get factory-fresh material with the manufacturer’s spec sheet, not a leftover remnant someone’s had leaning in a warehouse. If you have a specific color name or a sample chip, we can match it exactly.
