Tremron Driveway & Pavers: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide

Paver driveway installation in Los Angeles runs $8,260 to $21,240 depending on square footage, substrate condition, and whether we’re salvaging existing Tremron units or laying new. We stock Tremron-compatible replacement pavers and can match most current and legacy series, usually within one to two business days. Most Los Angeles homeowners discover a paver problem the way we do: a low spot pooling water after winter rain, a cracked unit along the tire track, or a base layer that’s started heaving at the edges.

This page is for you if your Tremron driveway or patio is showing its age and you want to know what it costs to fix, whether you need full replacement or spot repair, and how to avoid paying for work that won’t hold. Curtis Lane has spent enough time pulling failed pavers in Los Angeles to tell you this plainly: the paver itself is rarely the problem. It’s almost always what’s underneath.

Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron manufactures concrete pavers and wall systems across several lines you’ll find throughout Los Angeles driveways, walkways, and pool decks. The most common series we service are the Holland stone profiles (interlocking rectangular units typically 4″ x 8″), the Bullet series (larger format, 3-piece modular pattern), and the Cobble line (tumbled finishes for an older, weathered look). Wall units include the Classic and Estate block lines, typically used for planter walls and driveway borders.

Identification gets tricky because Tremron changes series names over the years and units are often discontinued. The reliable way to identify what you have: flip a loose paver and look for a molded stamp on the underside or edge. If the stamp is gone, measure the exposed face and the thickness. Tremron Holland pavers most commonly run 60mm or 80mm thick, while Bullet units run larger on face dimension and sometimes carry different edge spacing depending on the manufacturing year. One real compatibility gotcha we see in Los Angeles: newer Holland series units don’t always interlock cleanly with the older 60mm molds, and mixing generations on the same driveway shows visible gap differences. We tell homeowners before quoting whether a repair patch will blend or stand out.

Aftermarket equivalents exist for some Tremron profiles, and honest shops will tell you when a generic Holland brick will work and when it won’t. Our standard practice: for structural load paths (driveway tire tracks, stair treads), we source genuine Tremron or documented equivalent units. For decorative patches where color matching matters more than brand, we’ll match by visual sample and let you approve the board before anything gets laid. Bradford Remodeling is an independent Los Angeles contractor, not affiliated with Tremron. We also work with KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone products on interior projects, but this page is about your hardscape.

Signs Your Tremron Driveway & Pavers Is Failing

  • Pooling water that stays 48+ hours after rain. Your base has settled and the drainage plane is gone. This is either a base failure or a slope problem from day one. Water accelerates the next round of damage.
  • Pavers rocking when stepped on. The sand bed underneath has washed out or compacted unevenly. One or two rocking units is a warning; a whole section rock means the subbase is compromised and the fix isn’t surface-level.
  • Widening joints where sand keeps vanishing. Los Angeles dry-season winds and irrigation overspray both strip joint sand. Once the sand goes, pavers shift and edge restraint starts bearing load it was never designed to take.
  • Cracked or chipped units along driveway edges and tire paths. Concrete pavers crack when the load exceeds what the base can carry. A cracked unit in the tire track means the underlying support has failed at that point; replacing the paver alone will just crack again.
  • Raised or sunken borders along adjacent landscaping. Either tree roots have entered the base zone or the edge restraint was never properly set. Los Angeles ficus and sycamore roots are aggressive and will push paver edges out of plane within five to eight years.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A home office with a built-in desk and shelves

Our Los Angeles paver driveway work generally falls between $8,260 and $21,240 installed, and that number depends on square footage, the depth of excavation required, and whether we’re working over existing concrete or starting fresh. A full tear-out and re-lay with proper base preparation runs higher; a repair of 200-400 square feet at the driveway apron comes in lower. You’ll get a written line-item price before any work starts, and that price doesn’t move at the door.

What that price includes, every time: removal and disposal of failed pavers, excavation to stable subgrade, new compacted base material, bedding sand, re-laid pavers with edge restraint, new joint sand, and a cleaned, swept finish. We pull permits when the scope requires it and we tell you upfront if it does.

Every completed job carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the repair fails within one year, we come back and correct it at no charge. That’s a written guarantee, handed to you at close, along with a documented scope and a clean site. No punch-list surprises.

Scope Los Angeles Installed Range
Paver driveway repair (spot, ≤400 sq ft) $4,130 – $8,260
Full paver driveway installation $8,260 – $21,240
Paver patio installation (400+ sq ft) $4,130 – $12,980
Edge restraint replacement (per linear 50 ft) $300 – $700

DIY or Call Us?

A homeowner can safely do two things: inspect for obvious rocking units and keep joint sand topped off in dry months. Everything past that is where DIY goes wrong. Paver failure is almost never the paver, it’s the base underneath, and a homeowner dig-and-patch job without compaction will settle back within a season. What looks like a single cracked brick is usually a load-bearing failure under the sand bed, and the repair that lasts requires excavation, base rebuild, and re-compaction in lifts.

If you’re in Los Angeles and you’d rather have someone who does this every week tell you straight what’s wrong and what it costs to fix, call us at (903) 568-7222. We’ll give you a written price. No pressure, no change orders.
