Tremron Home Additions & ADU: The Los Angeles Owner’s Guide
Bradford Remodeling installs and services Tremron-compatible home additions and accessory dwelling units across Los Angeles, with typical project pricing running between $53,100 and $153,400 depending on scope, square footage, and site conditions. Most Los Angeles homeowners discover a problem not through a single failure but through a slow accumulation: a foundation crack that widens after winter rains, drywall seams that open above a door header, or a roofline that doesn’t drain the way it should. We stock the common Tremron-spec materials on our trucks and can usually begin a diagnostic walkthrough within days of your call to (903) 568-7222.
We’re an independent Los Angeles contractor, not affiliated with Tremron directly. That matters to you because we don’t have a quota to sell one product line. We match what your structure actually needs, whether that’s an original Tremron-compatible spec or a documented equivalent that holds up better in Southern California’s wet-dry cycle.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron produces a range of concrete paver and retaining wall products that Los Angeles builders commonly integrate into home additions, ADU foundations, and adjacent hardscape. The compatibility question is rarely about the paver itself and almost always about what’s underneath it: the compacted base, the drainage layer, and the edge restraint system. A Tremron paver installed over an uncompacted base in Los Angeles’ expansive clay soils will fail at the joints within two seasons, no matter how good the paver is.
For Tremron-specific work, the critical identifier is the product line stamp on the underside of the unit. Tremron marks its pavers with a series code that tells you the manufacturing date, the mold number, and the color batch. When we’re matching an existing patio or walkway during a home addition, we photograph that stamp, pull the original color lot if it’s still in production, and write the spec into your scope. If the color has been discontinued, we tell you before the first brick is ordered, not after the pallet arrives. OEM Tremron product is the default choice for visible match work. For subsurface work like base rock and drainage fabric, a documented equivalent with a manufacturer spec often performs identically and saves you money. We show you both options and write the decision into the price.

Signs Your Tremron Home Additions & ADU Is Failing
- Paver shifting or sinking along the addition’s edge. This usually means the base layer wasn’t compacted to spec or the edge restraint has failed. In Los Angeles, water from winter rains travels under the pavers and accelerates the problem. The fix requires pulling the affected section, recompacting, and reinstalling edge restraint.
- Cracks running through the slab or foundation stem wall of the addition. If the crack is wider than 1/8 inch and changes with the seasons, the soil beneath the structure is moving more than the original design accounted for. Tremron pavers on top are usually fine; the issue is structural and needs a foundation assessment before anything is patched.
- Water pooling against the addition wall after rain. Los Angeles gets concentrated rainfall in short bursts. If the drainage layer or the grade is off, water sits against the addition’s cladding and will eventually find the framing. That’s a rot problem that starts at the sill plate and works up.
- Gaps opening between pavers and the addition’s exterior cladding. This is an expansion issue. Tremron pavers expand and contract with Southern California’s temperature swings. If the original install didn’t leave an expansion joint, the pavers push against the wall or pull away from it, and neither is good.
- Efflorescence, a chalky white residue, covering large sections of the paver field. This tells you water is moving through the pavers and evaporating on the surface, which means the drainage beneath isn’t working. It’s cosmetic at first but signals a subsurface problem that will get worse.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For Los Angeles homeowners, Tremron-related home addition and ADU work runs $53,100 to $153,400. That’s the honest range from Bradford Remodeling, and it reflects the size of the structure, the condition of the existing foundation, the paver square footage you need, and whether we’re tying into existing Tremron product or starting fresh. The lower end covers a modest bump-out or a small paver patio tied to an existing addition. The upper end covers a full ADU with new foundation work, a complete Tremron paver surround, and drainage correction.
Every line item in your written price includes the parts, the labor, the base preparation, the drainage, and the cleanup. We don’t bid a number and then discover the base rock was never included. That’s the whole point of The Garrison Standard: the written price is the price. You get a written scope of work before anything starts, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the completed work for a full year. If something fails inside that window, we return and correct it at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely inspect your Tremron pavers: look for shifting, gaps, pooling water, and efflorescence. Take photos. That’s useful, and it helps you decide whether you’re looking at a surface issue or something structural. What you shouldn’t do is start pulling pavers around an addition’s foundation edge or digging out base material without knowing what’s underneath. In Los Angeles, excavations near an occupied structure can hit gas lines, water lines, and foundation drainage, and a single wrong cut turns a $2,000 paver repair into a $20,000 foundation problem.
Call (903) 568-7222 and tell us what you’re seeing. We’ll ask the right questions, give you a straight read on what’s likely happening, and set a walkthrough if it makes sense. Curtis Lane trained in construction technology at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and has spent two decades on Los Angeles sites; he’s seen every way a base layer fails and every way a “quick fix” makes it worse. Straight number, real scope, no surprises at the punch list.
FAQs

Tremron pavers themselves typically last 30 to 50 years in Los Angeles, but the base and drainage layer beneath them usually needs attention at the 15 to 20 year mark. If your pavers are failing at year three, the problem is the installation, not the product. Call (903) 568-7222 and we’ll tell you which one it is.
Yes, if the failure is limited to a defined area and the base beneath it is still sound. We can pull the affected pavers, recompact the base, replace the edge restraint, and reset the units. If the failure traces back to inadequate base preparation across the whole field, a partial repair won’t hold, and we’ll tell you that before you spend the money.
A paver repair on a failed section typically takes 2 to 4 working days. A full home addition or ADU with Tremron surround runs 3 to 8 months depending on permits, foundation work, and scope. We sequence demo and construction so the site stays clean and the job keeps moving without surprises.
We keep common Tremron-spec base rock, drainage fabric, edge restraint, and joint sand stocked on our trucks for Los Angeles jobs. Color-matched Tremron pavers are ordered per project from the manufacturer with the lot number written into your scope. We also work with KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone on interior finishes so every surface on your addition is documented and traceable.
